Since October 8, 1998, hundreds of thousands of travelers going eastbound and westbound on I-40 have found a great travel resource in the Oklahoma Welcome Center in Midwest City. From its opening, the center has provided travelers with information on local and state attractions, lodging, hospitality and events in the area, as well as throughout the state. Read more.
In October 2011, the City Council approved the awarding of a bid and entering into a contract for one or more new 2012 Peterbilt Model 348 twelve (12) yard, ten(10) wheel dump trucks with Rush Truck Center who submitted the lowest and best bid meeting specification for a base price of $126,766. In April, one (1) new truck and optional equipment for two (2) additional trucks was delivered to the city. Read more.
The Midwest City Hospital Authority has awarded the Police Department a grant totaling $20,325 to purchase a Segway Personal Transporter and off-road Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) and trailer. Read more.

City Hall, 100 N. Midwest Blvd. Reed Conference Center, 5800 Will Rogers Fire Station #5, 801 S. Westminister
The shelters open as the City sounds the storm warning sirens.
