Cooking and Home Fire Safety

ABOUT THE LESSON: 

This program is geared toward junior high and high school home economics students or other groups interested in learning about cooking and home fire safety.

OBJECTIVE:

To define and identify hazards or potential hazards in the kitchen. Students should learn how to treat scald injuries, understand what causes fires in the kitchen, extinguishing techniques, and safety practices associated with cooking.
