Midwest City Opens Pool to Resident Dogs on September 6

Midwest City residents are invited to bring their dogs to the annual "Doggie Paddle" at the Reno Swim and Slide Pool for cool fun in the sun on September 6, 2010!

“We started this event last year and it was a huge success!” Midwest City Parks and Recreation Supervisor Fran Gilles said. “The dogs had a wonderful time playing in the pool and the owners enjoyed watching them. It’s a unique experience that will make dogs think they have the best owner ever!”

The Reno Swim and Slide Pool closes to the public at 6:00 p.m. on September 6, 2010 and Midwest City is opening it up one last evening just for dogs.

“Doggie Paddle” is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on September 6, 2010 at the Reno Swim and Slide Pool located at the intersection of South Douglas and East Reno in Midwest City.

The cost is $5 per dog. Owner's are free. The event is limited to the first 100 dogs. Each dog may bring up to three owners. At least one owner must be 16 years of age or older. Dogs must be on a leash when not swimming and have their current shots.
