It’s almost time for back to school and back to busy lives as the summer comes to a close. With its season of operations coming to a close the Reno Swim & Slide will begin a new weekends only schedule beginning Aug. 12.
The pool’s final full week of operations will be Aug. 6 to Aug. 11 and then will be open only on the weekends through Labor Day. Hours of operation for the last week are 11 am to 8 pm. Saturday, Sept. 1, the hours will be 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Hours on Sunday, Sept. 2 will be 1 - 8 p.m. Labor Day hours will be 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The pool will also host a special “Doggie Paddle” event on the evening of Labor Day, Sept. 3, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to bring their dogs to enjoy a dip in the pool. Tickets for the event are $5 per canine and must be purchased at the Nick Harroz Community Center located at 200 N. Midwest Boulevard. Each canine must be accompanied by and adult.
