Springtime sports aren’t just for the kids – they’re for adults, too!
Starting March 2010, the City of Midwest City Parks and Recreation Department hosts an Adult 6 v 6 Soccer League on Tuesday Nights. The cost to play is $100.00 per team plus $10.00 a game for the referee.
“No goalies and no offsides, just lots of scoring on Tuesday night,” Midwest City Parks and Recreation Supervisor Scott Bartel said.
The department is also offering Adult 8 v 8 Flag football on Monday Nights. The league follow NFFL rules only and costs $175.00 per team plus $20.00 per game for officials. The season begins March 22 and the deadline to sign up is Friday, March 12.
The spring season for softball starts March 14.
“We have a Men’s and Coed league, but we’re also trying to start up a Women’s League on Wednesday nights, as well,” Bartel said. “Best of all, we have the lowest fee around.”
The league costs $225.00 for the season and $15.00 per game for umpires. A $50 deposit is due by March 5, 2010.
