The Park Board was created by an act of the council in 1972. The purpose of the Park Board is to foster and promote the maintenance and operation of city parks and recreation facilities. The board is comprised of residents of the city appointed by the Council, assisted by representatives of the Parks & Recreation Department. The Park Board meets the third Wednesday of the month at 5:00 pm at the Nick Harroz Community Center (200 N. Midwest Blvd.). If you have any questions about the Park Board please call 739-1291.
