Public CPR class

This class is offered on the first Thursday of each month.  The cost is $8.00, which covers the cost of one CPR booklet.  No slot in the class can be reserved unless a booklet is purchased.  Class will not be held unless the minimum of 6 students are signed up.

This class is CPR for Family and Friends, adult and pediatric.  The class is designed for the general public.  Susan Case with DHS Day Care Licensing has conferred with a health care professional who has confirmed that the CPR for Family and Friends course meets the requirements for anyone employed in child care, in the home or at a “center”.  We do not provide first aid training.

Anyone needing CPR “Certification” for other employment should contact their employer to determine what level of CPR they need to meet job requirements.  Please note, the American Heart Association no longer certifies anyone in CPR; they issue cards of completion or participation.  There are 4 levels of Healthcare Provider and 5 levels of Lay Rescuer CPR available through AHA.  It is the individual’s responsibility to verify what level of training they need.

The student should study the booklet prior to class.  The class time will be spent viewing segments of videos and practicing CPR skills on the mannequins.

Call or e-mail for additional contacts.
