There are several levels of CPR training offered by the American Heart Association.
The class offered by the Midwest City Fire Dept. is the Family and Friends Program.
This class offers non-certification training for the general public.
Anyone requiring certification for employment purposes must attend a class offering a higher level of training. The child care licensing division of the Oklahoma State Health Dept. does recognize the Family and Friends Program for continuing education purposes.
Interested persons must register in advance by purchasing a Family and Friends book at the headquarters fire station. The book costs eight dollars. Registrants name will be placed on a roster only when he/she has purchased a Family and Friends book 48 hours or more prior to the class. For information call 739-1356 or 739-1340 or
