Rental Registration Information

Beginning July 1, 2011 if you own rental property in Midwest City you will be required to register the property annually.

The rental registration program was developed to protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the city, particularly those who live in rental properties or the neighborhoods surrounding them. It is designed to promote the continued maintenance of safe and secure rental properties; to facilitate accurate ownership and local agent information; to preserve the quality of existing housing stock; and, to ensure that rental housing is being operated and maintained in a manner that does not foster blight and deterioration or become a nuisance to its surroundings.

Early registration will begin February 1, 2011. There will be no fee for the annual registration for July 1, 2011-June 30, 2012. All properties should be registered no later than August 1, 2011 to avoid late fees or fines.

Please consider joining the Crime Free Housing Program offered by the Midwest City Police Department at no cost to owners/agents of property in Midwest City. Completion of the program will entitle the owner/agent to a 50% discount on annual registration.  For more information or to register for this program, email rental@midwestcityok.org or call 405.739.1022.
