The purpose of the street department is to assist in the design,m construction, mannagement and maintenance of the city's infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks and pathways; creeks and storm drains; right-of-ways, urban forest and parklands; street lights and traffic signals; sanitation in parks, vegation management. In addition, the street department is responsible for related activities such as community clean-up (Adopt-A-Street) and graffiti abatement.
The goal of the street department is to provide top quality, professional, effective and timely delivery of services to residents and commuters, businesses and ciy departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
