Beginning its second season, the Mid-Del Farmers Market is now open each Saturday morning, from 8:00 - 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday evenings, from 4:30 - 8:00 p.m. The market is located in the Charles J. Johnson Central Park in Towncenter Plaza, off of SE 29th St, between Best Buy and Lowes.
According to organizer Bob Davis, the market will open with mostly cold season vegatables and plants. "The amount of produce and variety this first couple of weeks will be limited due to the late cold weather we have experienced," he continued. "But, as the growing season gets into full swing, the offerings will be increased."
The market will offer the freshest local foods, which should be a treat to those who will take advantage of the fresh vegetables and fruit throughout the spring to late fall.
