Transfer Station

Transfer Station rules and regulations:

The city's transfer station may be used only by current residents of the city. It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person that is not a current resident of the city to use the city's transfer station. Current residents using the transfer station are required to present their current Midwest City utility bill and their driver's license showing proof of residence in the city. Current residents of the city will be allowed to dump four (4) loads per year at the city's transfer station at no charge in any combination as listed below. Current residents of the city may dump up to a maximum of ten (10) additional loads at the city's transfer station at the following rates which shall be charged to the resident's utility bill:

 
 Pick-up load to the top of the cab (open bed) 1 load or $15.00  
 Pick-up load over the cab (enclosed bed) 2 loads or $25.00
 Trailer (less than 16 foot) and tow vehicle 3 loads or $35.00
 Trailer (16 foot or longer) and tow vehicle 4 loads or $50.00
 Enclosed trucks (U-Haul, Ryder, etc.) NOT ALLOWED
   
   
   

Garbage and refuse produced by a resident's household will be accepted at the transfer station including lumber and wood items no more than four (4) feet in length and six (6) inches in diameter.  Items that are not accepted at the transfer station include shingles, (both wooden and composite), hazardous wastes, pesticides, herbicides, tires, dirt, rock, concrete or brick, appliances with compressors, batteries, paint, solvents, motor oil and such other items as the utilities superintendent shall deem detrimental to the transfer station.  The City will not be responsible for the negligence of patrons using the transfer station.

Enclosed trucks, such as U-Haul or Ryder, etc., are not allowed to utilize the transfer station.  Such vehicles are considered a safety hazard and will be turned away at the gate.

(b)
No commercial use of the transfer station is permitted and it shall be unlawful and an offense for any person or entity to use the transfer station for commercial purposes.

(c)
No use of the city's transfer station for commercial purposes is permitted, and it shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to use the city's transfer station for commercial purposes. The determination of whether a person is using the city's transfer station for commercial purposes is solely at the discretion of the transfer station operator based on his observance of the frequency of the person's use of the city's transfer station and the types of material the person brings to the city's transfer station.

Bins for metals disposal are available upon request. Attendant will check you in upon arrival and direct you to the disposal area.
