Residential Sewage Rates 

Initial set-up is determined on the number of people in the house hold.

After customer has had services long enough for us to get a Winter Average, we then use that average to charge for sewage services and that rate would be $3.96 per thousand gallons of water being used. Non-Water Accounts have a flat rate and the Customer is asked annually (w/letter from the City’s Customer Service Department) about the number of people in the household.

There is a minimum sewer charge as per City Ordinance located in Sec. 43-228. It states,  "A minimum sewer user charge shall apply for the first two thousand (2,000) gallons of wastewater contributed by a user per month, to the sanitary sewer system.  All users contributing less than two thousand (2,000) gallons of wastewater in any month shall be charged as though they had contributed two thousand (2,000) gallons of wastewater during that month."

Commercial Sewage Rates

Sewage is charged for the amount of water usage at the business at $3.96 per thousand gallons of water used.

Where additional pickups (special pickups) are required, a minimum fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) per container (dumpster) will be charged. The Director of Environmental Services shall base additional charges by time required to empty said container(s) on the basis of manpower and equipment.
