The primary goals and objectives of the Wastewater Division is to contain, treat, and release back into the environment wastewater that does not harm the aquatic life downstream from the facility. 

The Wastewater Treatment Plant treats domestic and industrial wastewater to the secondary treatment level by use of Rotating Biological Contractors (RBC's).  The plant was designed for 12 MGD, with a daily average folow of 5.8 MGD.

This facility and staff have won several statewide awards and recognition, along with an EPA Maintenance and Operation Award.
