Comprehensive Plan

The Comprehensive Planning Division at the City of Midwest City develops policies that regulate the city’s development of the physical environment through the preparation of long range plans.  One of the most important long range plans is the Comprehensive Plan.

The Comprehensive Plan is a long range plan that looks at growth and use of land uses, parks, transportation systems, image, and any other aspect that affects the livability of the city. The Comprehensive Plan is developed through research and analysis by city staff and through public input regarding the future vision of the city.

Midwest City’s 1985 Comprehensive Plan recently underwent an update and in July the 2008 Midwest City Comprehensive Plan was adopted. You may look at a hard copy of the Comprehensive Plan in the Community Development Department at City Hall or the Midwest City Library.  You may also view the Comprehensive Plan online by clicking on the files to the right-hand side of this page.
