The City of Midwest City is proud to present Tribute to Liberty, an annual family-centered patriotic celebration, featuring musical concerts, food trucks and fireworks display.

The event will take place in the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, Reno Ave. and Douglas Boulevard on July 4, beginning at 6 p.m. Families are welcome to bring picnic dinner baskets and encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy our community's tribute to liberty. Food trucks will be available with a variety of foods for purchase during the event.
At 6 p.m., audiences will enjoy live entertainment by TBD. The War Birds from Tulsa will do a spectacular flyover above the park at 7:45 p.m. Following this performance, Mayor Matthew D. Dukes II will officially welcome attendees. At 8:30 p.m., attendees will be treated to a patriotic concert by Dr. Irv Wagner's Concert Band.
According to event organizers, the 50-member concert band will perform the highest level of music composed for Symphonic Concert Bands around the world. Likened to great symphonic bands, such as the one under the direction of John Philip Sousa, the concert band will many perform patriotic songs, such as the "Battle Hymn of the Republic," "America," and the "Stars and Stripes Forever." In addition, the concert band will honor our veterans and current enlisted men and women with the playing of their respective armed forces hymns.
The patriotic evening will culminate with an impressive fireworks display, beginning at approximately 9:45 p.m.
