Specialty Units

  1. Bomb Squad

    The Midwest City Bomb squad is a nationally accredited bomb squad through the Department of Justice.

  2. Community Action Officers

  3. Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)

    The CIT is a select group of officers who have received specialized Training in dealing with the mentally ill. The program was established to develop and implement safe, proactive and preventive methods of containing emotionally charged situations that could lead to violence.

    The mission of the Midwest City Police Honor Guard is to represent the City of Midwest and its Police Department in a highly positive and professional manner through presentations and event performances.

  5. K-9 Unit

    The mission of the K-9 Unit is to assist with deterring crime, apprehending offenders and increasing the safety of the community and officers.

  6. Motor Squad

    Motor Officers are primarily assigned to traffic control, collision investigation, Selective Traffic Emphasis Program, parades and escorts.

  7. School Resource Officer (SRO)

    The School Resource Officer (SRO) position provides a uniformed police officer that plays a key role in preserving order and promoting safety on campus.
