Fair Housing

The City of Midwest City conducts business in accordance with Federal Fair Housing Law.  The Fair Housing Act prohibits housing discrimination against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.

What Housing Is Covered?

  • The sale or rental of housing or residential lots
  • Advertising the sale or rental of housing
  • Financing of housing
  • Provision of real estate brokerage services
  • Appraisal of housing

The City of Midwest City maintains an annual contract with the Metropolitan Fair Housing Council (MFHC) of Greater Oklahoma City, a private non-profit corporation that provides services related to fair housing.
