Residential New Construction

Permits are required for the construction of each new residential structure in Midwest City. Complete applications can be submitted to the Community Development Department, 100 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, OK 73110 or via the application link below. If you choose to submit your application using the link below, please ensure that all required documents are uploaded.

Residential building permits usually take 1-2 weeks to process. Prior to issuance of the building permit, a building permit clerk will contact the applicant to schedule an on-site meeting with city engineering staff in accordance with Ordinance 3248, Payment for a residential building permit is due when the permit is approved and picked up in the Community Development office.

New Construction Submission Requirements

  • Foundation plans
  • Structural plans
  • Site plan including drainage arrows, building lines, easements and setbacks from the structure to property lines
  • Pad elevations
  • Completed application form

Residential Additions and Remodels

Permits are required for all additions to existing residential structures. Remodels involving structural modifications also require a permit. Please contact Chuck Belk, Building Official, 405-739-1270 with any questions regarding remodel permits.

  • Site plan including building lines, easements and setbacks from the structure to property lines (not necessary for interior remodels)
