Church Preparedness for Severe Weather

Severe weather is a way of life in Oklahoma.  It's a topic we often talk about, but sometimes fail to prepare for.  Not even churches are immune from the wrath of nature's destructive storm systems.  One of the most important things you can do to prevent being injured or killed in a tornado or storm is to be alert to the possibility of severe weather.

The information in this guide is meant to serve as a starting point for your church.  We encourage each organization to develop their own specific severe weather plan, and to practice your plan with your staff and fellow partishioners.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact the Emergency Management office at 739.1386.
