Peace on Earth lights

Midwest City's holiday happenings kickoff this Thursday (Nov. 15) with Walk the Lights in Joe B. Barnes Regional Park.  Visitors will walk through over 100 animated light displays with over a million lights, including the 118 foot Christmas tree and the tunnel of lights in the Holiday Lights Spectacular.  Children 12 and under are free. The $5 fee for all others is a fundraiser for the Holiday Lights Spectacular.

Opening night of the Holiday Lights Spectacular is the following night, Friday, November 16, with caroling, a special surprise guest from the North Pole, and a hot air balloon to light up the sky for the countdown to the official “lights up” spectacular at Joe B. Barnes Regional Park. Lights officially open at 6 p.m. for vehicles to cruise the one and a half mile drive through the heart of the park.

Holiday Lights Spectacular is on display through Christmas. Hours are 6 p.m.  to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday though Saturday.  Joe B.
