Assistant Chief Caleb Bryant has been in the fire service since 2012, serving in various roles within the fire department. Chief Bryant is a graduate of the The University of Central Oklahoma in 2007 and started his career with the Midwest City Fire Department in 2012. Currently serving as Assistant Chief/Shift Commander, Chief Bryant is responsible for overseeing Green Shift and its team of 25 Firefighters, Apparatus Operators, and Company Officers. He holds numerous fire service certifications, but his primary passion is still putting on his bunker gear staying grounded in being a firefighter at his core. Prior to this role, Chief Bryant previously served as the company officer of Engine 3, Blue shift where his company worked diligently to test and implement changes to engine company operations within the department. Chief Bryant is passionate for all things related to the fire service and is highly motivated in pursuing operational excellence for all disciplines related to the job, while upholding the pride and traditions of the fire service that make it the best job in the world! Beyond his official duties with the fire department, he serves as the Fire Academy Coordinator for Eastern Oklahoma County Career Tech and finds great fulfillment in passing on the love for the job to the next generation of firefighters. Chief Bryant is also a member of the County Fire Tactics "Green Team" and teaches engine company operations tactics and skills at various conferences and workshops across the country.
