Emergency Communications (9-1-1)

The Midwest City Emergency Communications Center is staffed with 14 Communication Specialists working 12-hour shifts. The Center receives more than 100,000 phone calls each year, 1/3 of which are through the E-911 lines.  The center processes more than 69,000 calls requiring some level of response from our public safety agencies.

 

9-1-1:  The Emergency Communications Center is the Public Safety Answering Point for Police, Fire, Emergency Medical, and Emergency Management services in Midwest City. The E.C.C. operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and receives over 100,000 calls annually.

  • 9-1-1 telecommunicators (dispatchers) are the first of the first responders
  • Midwest City E.C.C. provides emergency medical guidance over the phone until responders arrive
  • E.C.C. staff serve as the liaison between our community and the public safety/emergency services in Midwest City
