Tree limbs, tree trunks and brush can really be a pain after a storm. The most recent storms that rolled through MWC left a lot of vegetative debris in places it shouldn't be. 

Because it was not a declared event, citywide curbside pickup cannot happen at this time. Here's what you can do with your vegetative debris:

 

Take Vegetative debris to the Midwest City Compost Facility (7420 NE 36th st.)

  • Open EXTENDED HOURS: 8am-6pm | Mon. - Sat. | June 20 - July 1

  • Woody material does not exceed 8' length or 20" diameter

  • Use paper yard waste bags for any bagged materials

  • MWC Residents ONLY: Utility bill and current DL required for proof of residency  

Residents in Zones 1 & 2

  • Vegetative debris can be set at the curb for quarterly bulk pickup (keep it separate from other waste)

  • Keep tree limbs, leaves, and other vegetative debris separate from household trash or fencing materials

  • Typical bulk waste restrictions apply

  • Leave at least 5' of space on both sides of the debris pile

  • Don't place it near obstacles such as mailboxes, electric boxes, or gas meters

  • Don't place debris under trees or powerlines

  • Make sure there are no vehicles parked in front of debris

  • Construction materials (concrete, bricks, roofing material, etc) are not accepted as part of quarterly bulk waste pickups

Residents in Zones 3-12

  • Request a special bulk waste pickup by calling Public Works at (405) 739-1066

  • Current fee for special pickups is $55 per 0.5 hour

  • Woody material does not exceed 8' length or 20" diameter

  • Use paper yard waste bags for any bagged materials
