Water Resources Recovery Facility Brush Control (Goats)

Goats working

Environmentally friendly brush control (goats)

The WRRF for the last three years with a partnership through Langston university have been using goats to clean underbrush, hard to mow and maintain areas of the facility.

At present time we have twenty goats that are working in different areas cleaning and removing brush.

There are five goats that the city has use of that are not of the partnership with Langston. These goats are used in different areas as well.

The health and wellness of the goats is monitored by WRRF staff with periodic checks by Langston experts.
