Commercial Building Permit Application

For use regarding multi-family, commercial, industrial, and agricultural applications

Application for permits are applied for on the portal. You must upload plans in PDF format for the proposed work being done, drawn to scale, showing floor plans, sections, elevations, structural details, computations, stress diagrams, electrical, plumbing and mechanical plans.  Once the permit is approved and paid for, you must keep a printed set of plans with any revisions on the job site.

A registered land surveyor must certify all boundary surveys.  A registered architect and / or engineer must certify all plans and specifications, except for the following buildings;
      1.  Duplexes,
      2.  Apartment buildings not exceeding two (2) stories in height,
      3.  Warehouse, maintenance, garage or storage buildings not exceeding two (2)
           stories in height,        
      4.  Hotel, lodge or fraternal buildings not exceeding two (2) stories in height,
      5.  Farm improvements,
      6.  Industrial or commercial buildings not exceeding two (2) stories in height,
      7.  Schools where the reasonable estimated total construction cost of the building,
           remodeling, or repair does not exceed $40,000.00,
      8. Any other building where the reasonable estimated total cost of construction,
          Remodeling, or repairing of such building does not exceed $40,000.00.

A plot plan must be submitted with this application showing to scale the size and location of the property and the dimensions and location of all existing and / or proposed buildings or structures on the property.
