CITY SERVICES AND CLOSURES

Animal Welfare:

  • Animal Service Center is OPEN during regular hours Friday & Saturday (2/4 - 2/5)
  • Staff is responding only to emergency calls at this time.

Fire Department:

  • Use the appropriate footwear while clearing driveways and sidewalks. Snow-packed, low-tread shoes can leave you without traction, leading to slips and falls.

Midwest City Senior Center:

  • CLOSED Friday, February 4, 2022

Municipal Court:

  • OPEN Friday, Feb. 4, 2022

Nick Harroz Community Center:

  • OPEN Friday, Feb. 4, 2022

Police Department:

  • Essential-only travel is encouraged. But if you do have to get out, drive slowly.
  • Current weather conditions are helping roads to improve, but there are still slick and slushy spots that can cause accidents.
  • Watch for areas that melt and refreeze overnight, these spots will be very slick.

Street Conditions:

  • Public Works street crews are transitioning to 8-hour shifts.
  • Though current weather conditions are helping roads to improve, refreezing will be a concern tonight.
  • Crews will continue to maintain arterial streets throughout the community, especially at intersections.
  • Follow these simple rules when you see our crews working in Midwest City:
    •  Stay at least 100 feet (5 car lengths) behind our trucks as they salt, sand and plow.
    •  Try not to pass our trucks as they work.
    •  If your vehicle is stuck on a city street, please do not stand in the street to stop or flag down other drivers for assistance. City snow plows or trucks cannot stop to provide assistance. It's safer for you to stay in your vehicle and call a tow service, family or friends for assistance.

Trash & Recycling Collection:

  • Midwest City trash services are still operating as scheduled today (Friday). Only minor service delays were experienced due to road conditions.
  • All Republic recycling collection services will now occur over the weekend. Thursday and Friday collection routes will be picked up on Saturday, February 5. Leave your carts out if you have already placed them at the curb.

Utility Customer Service:

  • OPEN for customers on Friday, Feb. 4, City Hall payment window, 100 N. Midwest Blvd
  • REMINDER: You can pay your bill online by hitting the PAYMENTS button at MidwestCityOK.org
