Ward One Community Meeting: Public Safety Information and Resources
Ward One City Council member Susan Eads, staff from the MWC Police Department Community Action Unit and MWC Neighborhood Services will be hosting a meeting this Thursday evening for residents in Ward One. (See attached graphic for boundaries for Ward One.)
The meeting will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can attend the meeting in person at Neighborhood Services at the Charles J. Johnson building at 8726 SE 15th Street or you can join us via Zoom. (If you live in Ward One and need the link for the Zoom meeting, contact us and we will email it to you.)
Here are the basics for the topics:
- Welcome - Council member Eads
- Briefing and discussion from active Ward One Neighborhood Associations - Ranchets N.A. and Original Mile N. A.
- MWC Police Dept. Community Action presentation (This will include summary of calls from the past 6 months, Community Programs, phone numbers for who to call re: neighborhood concerns, etc.) - MWC Police Chief Brandon Clabes and Lt. Steve Simonson
- MWC Neighborhood Services (Code Enforcement and Neighborhood Initiative) re: how code violations are addressed, how code complaints can be submitted, information about Neighborhood Associations, etc.) - Mike Stroh, Neighborhood Services Director
- Q & A with Residents and the City Representatives
