CITY SERVICES AND CLOSURES
Animal Welfare:
- Animal Services Center will be OPEN during regular hours Friday.
- Staff will respond to emergency calls only if the storm produces heavy ice or snow accumulation.
Midwest City Senior Center:
- CLOSED Friday, March 11, 2022.
Municipal Court:
- OPEN Friday, March 11, 2022.
- If you need a continuance due to travel conditions, call during regular business hours at 405-739-1280 .
Nick Harroz Community Center:
- OPEN Friday, March 11, 2022
Police Department:
- Essential-only travel is encouraged as the storm affects roads. Drive slowly and take your time.
- If you encounter someone who you believe is in a life-threatening situation due to the weather conditions, call 911.
- If you get stuck on a city street, stay in your vehicle. Call a tow service, family members or friends for assistance.
Street Conditions:
- Public Works street crews are prepared to treat arterial (major) streets. Intersections and bridges will be the focus as the storm begins.
- Public Works crews will work in shifts as needed.
- For everyone's safety, please adhere to these simple rules when you see our crews working in Midwest City:
- Stay at least 100 feet (5 car lengths) behind our trucks as they salt, sand and plow.
- Try not to pass our trucks as they work.
- If your vehicle is stuck on a city street, do not stand in the street to flag down a vehicle for assistance. City snow plows or trucks cannot stop to provide assistance. It's safer for you to stay in your vehicle and call a tow service, family members or friends for assistance.
Trash & Recycling Collection:
- At this time, Midwest City trash services plan to operate as scheduled on Friday.
- At this time, Republic recycling services plan to operate as scheduled on Friday.
Utility Customer Service:
- OPEN for customers on Friday, March 11, at the City Hall payment window, 100 N. Midwest Blvd.
