Thanks To A Recent Act Of Kindness, This 93 Year Old Resident Will Keep On Cutting It

Upon checking the welfare of Gladys, our Community Action Officers learned that her self-propelled lawn mower was broken. Gladys explained to them that she really enjoys mowing her yard, and does it as a form of exercise.

Our officers went to the Home Depot store in Midwest City to look at some mowers and price them. Much to their surprise, they left with a brand new Toro self-propelled, electric start mower that was donated to Gladys by Home Depot. They also spoke with Alan, a mechanic at the city’s FLEET services, who volunteered to get the mower in running order and do periodic tune-ups on it.
