Final Plat
The Purpose of a Final Plat is to Ensure:
- Consistency with Standards - The the proposed subdivision and development of the land is consistent with all standards of the Subdivision Regulations pertaining to the adequacy of public facilities.
- Provide for Public Improvements - That public improvements to serve the subdivision or development have been installed and accepted by the City or that provision for such installation has been made.
- Other Requirements and Conditions - That all other requirements and conditions have been satisfied or provided for to allow the Final Plat to be recorded.

A mandatory pre-application conference with city staff is required at least 7 days before a formal Final Plat application can be submitted. The pre-application conference is intended to allow for the exchange of non-binding information between the applicant and city staff to ensure that the applicant is informed of pertinent city development regulations and processes. The pre-application conference provides an opportunity for the applicant and city staff to discuss major development considerations such as utilities, roadways, drainage concerns, comprehensive plan elements, specific neighborhood characteristics and historic information.
