City Clerk

Responsibilities

  • Attend all City Council meetings and staff briefings to record the minutes of such proceedings to provide continuity of City government as the legal record of legislative action.
  • Certify and attest by signature and by affixing the City seal to all official City documents to include ordinances, resolutions, and contracts.
  • Administer all regular and special municipal elections in coordination with the County Election Board and in compliance with Oklahoma election law and Municipal Charter.
  • Codify the City Ordinances.
  • Maintain annual budget for both the City Clerk and General Government departments.
  • Process public information requests in compliance with Oklahoma Open Records Act.
  • Officially maintain records for all City departments to include maintenance, storage, retention, destruction, and preservation.
  • Supervise Meter Reading and the Utility Customer Service Department.
