Greg Wipfli Named Midwest City Chief of Police

On August 20, 2024, Greg Wipfli was officially named and welcomed as Chief of Police of the Midwest City Police Department. We are happy and excited to announce Chief Wipfli as the agency’s 15th Chief of Police.

Chief Wipfli began his career with Midwest City Police Department in 1994, working his way through the ranks. Chief Wipfli replaces former Chief of Police Sidney Porter, who retired in January 2024, where Chief Wipfli assumed Interim Police Chief.

Chief Wipfli has been a co-worker, a mentor, a leader, and a friend. We all congratulate you, Chief Wipfli, and thank you for all of the support and encouragement you give us and continue to give.

“May God always keep you safe and return you home to your family each and every day. Thank you for taking a career to serve and protect others.”
